A pizzeria’s guide to food holidays

national pizza pie day Febraury 9National Pizza Day is over. No worries. There is a day for every occasion in America, especially when it comes to all of the food holidays celebrated throughout the year.

A pizza business doesn’t have to limit itself to promoting only pizza-related days. What about National Flour Month, National Gluten Free Day, National Italian Food Day, Repeal of Prohibition Day or even National Garlic Month? Use food holidays to draw attention to your many specialties. Social media followers love food holidays. Why not correlate a specific day with your pizzeria and your menu? Who knows, it might just go viral.

National Ravioli Day can give you the perfect occasion to showcase your famous housemade Four Cheese Ravioli. Or National Cannoli Day could give you an opportunity to roll out your modern twist on the Italian pastry dessert.

I’ve compiled a list of food holidays and observances throughout the calendar year that may be particularly applicable to a pizzeria operation. Here goes:
