Pizza Today was launched in 1984 when a pizzeria owner in the tiny town of Santa Claus, Indiana, realized he needed help growing his business. “Surely,” he thought, “there must be a periodical or tradeshow that can give me the type of advice I need to be successful.” Well, he was wrong. So he started a magazine himself, Pizza Today, and brought in the industry’s top consultants and experts to provide the type of critical information you still find in our pages nearly 28 years later.
In 2000, the magazine was acquired by MacFadden Publishing in New York. Today, it is operated and managed by its subsidiary company, MacFadden Protech, LLC, the parent company to Pizza Today, International Pizza Expo and the National Association of Pizzeria Operators.
The magazine has undergone many changes through the years, from redesigns to moving its offices to Louisville, Kentucky. Our latest and most significant improvement is represented right here, on the brand new PizzaToday.com site, complete with video, recipes, an enhanced vendor directory and the ability to open and read each new issue of the magazine on your computer’s desktop.
