Buddy’s Pizza repurposes dough as dog treats

Farmington Hills, Michigan-based Buddy’s Pizza, famous for introducing the first Detroit-style square pizza, has come up with a creative way to use leftover pizza dough and help save animals lives. Buddy’s has debuted Buddy Bones, which are made from the pizza company’s multi-grain crust.

The bone-shaped dog biscuits are packaged five to a bag for large bones and 10 to bag for small bones, according to the Detroit News. The dog treats sell for $2 and are available at all Buddy’s 10 Detroit locations. Buddy Bones sales go to benefit the Michigan Humane Society.
