What’s the most requested food item that soldiers want to eat while they are in the field? Pizza, of course. Military lab researchers in Massachusetts have developed a pizza “meal ready to eat” (MRE).
The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center food scientists have spent nearly two years developing the recipe for a pizza MRE, which has a shelf life of three years, according to Boston.com.
