Hopkins County’s Child Support Unit in Kentucky enlisted the help of pizzeria operators to find the area’s “most wanted” child support offenders.
During a “March Mania” program, the child support unit placed “most wanted” fliers on pizza boxes at Godfather’s Pizza, Rocksans Pizza, Quality Pizza and Hobo Mickey’s Pizza in an effort to gain information on persons with outstanding warrants and to increase collections for children in the county.
The campaign was a slam dunk, according to the SurfKy.com. It resulted in a $20,000 surge in child support collections in Hopkins County.
“It’s exciting to see community involvement in helping to get the job done,” Assistant County Attorney Shaun McEntire said in a press release. “You can’t continue to win without a consistent team of great players.”
