Pizza Works announces profit sharing day to support Breast Cancer Research

Warren, OH – September 14, 2013 – Pizza Works is proud to announce patients across the country a Slice of Hope next month.

October 12th has been designated as a National Pizza Party Day by Slice of Hope, a pizza industry charitable initiative. Slice of Hope has banded together pizzerias from across the nation in an effort to fight this invasive disease, which will impact hundreds of thousands of women and men this year. In fact, more than 190,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed this year alone. Sadly, approximately 40,000 women will die from this disease this year. That’s approximately 110 breast cancer deaths daily. Bill Siwicki, president of Ohio Pizza Company, LLC, parent company of Pizza Works, says, “that’s simply too many”.

“There isn’t a person in this country who hasn’t felt the effects of breast cancer in some way,” Siwicki says. “Whether you’ve had the disease yourself, or a family member or friend has had it, it’s safe to say you’ve been impacted by breast cancer. Pizza Works wants to do something to help end this disease. That’s why we’ve joined Slice of Hope and will be donating 100 percent of our profit on Saturday, October 12th. So please come down to your local Pizza works in Warren or Howland that day to show your support of this cause.”

It’s easy, customers can simply call in their favorite order to 330-469-6931, 1960 Elm Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483 or 330-856-1300 or 7091 E. Market St., Warren (Howland), Ohio 44484 and 100% of the proceeds from the day’s sales will be donated.
