Delivery driver Andrew Gryskiewicz is in serious condition after being shot in a robbery attempt Saturday morning while in route back to Dulono’s Pizza, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dulono’s owner Jerad Gruett reached out to Pizza Today to help get the word out about this tragedy.
On Dulono’s Facebook, Gruett has alerted his patrons and keeps them updated on Gryskiewicz’s condition. In his original post, he wrote:
“This is written with a heavy heart and high hopes. Please join us at Dulono’s in prayers for the recovery of our coworker and friend Andrew. At approximately 3:30 am this morning while enroute to the store after his last delivery, Andrew was shot in what appears to be an attempted robbery and/or car jacking. By God’s grace Andrew was found unconscious in his car by officers of the MPD before he bled to death. Heroic and gifted surgeons repaired the hole in his heart and have given him the chance to fight for his life. As you reflect on this senseless act perpetrated on a man simply doing his job serving the community that we have served for 59 years, please pray for his recovery and also for the Lord to soften the hardened hearts that are tearing our community apart. God Bless You Andrew. We love you.
Please consider helping Andrew by contributing to his gofundme page. Andrew Gryskiewicz Recovery Fund.”
The Twin Cities community has rallied around Gryskiewicz. In the short three days since the shooting, Gryskiewicz’s recovery fund has raised more than half of its $25,000. Goal.
