Pizza Today’s Man on the Street and owner of Scott’s Pizza Tours Scott Wiener is being featured in a full-length documentary. “Scott’s Pizza Tours: A Documentary” chronicles the pizza historian, pizza enthusiast, columnist for Pizza Today and author of Viva La Pizza! The Art of the Pizza Box, Guinness World Record holder for his collection of pizza boxes.
Notice Pictures has launched a Kickstarter campaign (running until August 7th) to help fund the movie with a goal of $35,000. For more, visit its Kickstarter page.

NOTICE PICTURES: We met Scott in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, when he pointed us to Lombardi’s Pizzeria, which was feeding the neighborhood by powering their shop with car batteries. It would be easy to call Scott a pizza expert, but that wouldn’t do him justice. He runs a successful tour business in NYC, where he leads visitors to some of the best and most historic pizzerias in the world, teaching the history and science of pizza making. He writes a monthly column in Pizza Today magazine, is a legend in the pizza industry, judges pizza competitions, eats 15 slices per week, and–oh, yeah–he’s the Guinness World Record holder for the largest collection of pizza boxes, now numbering nearly 1,000 different boxes from 55 countries, selections of which are currently touring through gallery spaces in the U.S. and Europe, with tentative exhibitions planned for Asia and Latin America. In his spare time, he founded and organizes Slice Out Hunger, an annual event, which has raised over $70,000 for hunger relief organizations in NYC.
In “Scott’s Pizza Tours,” we’ll experience the world’s most beloved food, through the eyes of the man who loves it most. We’ll witness how Scott, by living his passion every day, has inspired others to take their own leaps of faith in order to follow their dreams. And, yes, we’ll figure out how someone is able to store 975 pizza boxes in a Brooklyn apartment.
