Bakersfield, CA (January 29, 2015) – PizzaRev announced today a record breaking entrance into Bakersfield, CA. The fast-casual build-your-own pizza concept opened two locations in the last two weeks in Bakersfield, CA, where the crew achieved a record 200 pizzas crafted per hour at peak traffic times. The company is on-track to open eight restaurants by the end of Q1 2015.
“Bakersfield is the first market outside of Los Angeles where we’ve opened corporate stores, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the warm welcome from the community,” said Irv Zuckerman, co-CEO of PizzaRev. “We’ve developed a winning formula for opening strong in new markets, with a focus on community involvement and early consumer education about how we’re revolutionizing pizza. It’s a recipe for success that we’re replicating in new markets across the country.”
PizzaRev’s two new Bakersfield restaurants are located at Gosford Village (5419 Gosford Road) and River Walk (10500 Stockdale Highway). To mark its entrance into the community, PizzaRev hosted Grand Opening fundraisers to benefit two local charities, the Bakersfield SPCA and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County. Guests were invited to choose the price of their pizza, with proceeds benefiting the two organizations.
PizzaRev’s “Craft Your Own” pizza making process begins with a friendly greeting from a PizzaRev “crafter” who assists each guest in customizing their personal 11” pizza. Construction starts with the crust selection, either original or gluten-free, each one pressed into a thin canvas from a plump, homemade dough ball. Guests then choose from four signature sauces, including a savory organic red sauce, a creamy white alfredo and a spicy-sweet BBQ. Finally, the masterpiece is completed with favorite selections from an array of all-natural cheeses and 30+ fresh ingredients, ranging from traditional toppings like pepperoni and ground beef to premium selections including sweet fennel sausage, fresh-sliced basil and arugula. Each pizza, no matter how many ingredients are selected, is one price.
PizzaRev is a “build-your-own” fast-casual pizza concept that has reinvented the way America eats its favorite food. Guests are empowered to fully customize a personal-sized 11″ pizza for one price. Homemade dough options, flavorful sauces, all-natural cheeses, and more than 30+ artisanal toppings, everything is on display at PizzaRev and assembled right before your eyes. The pizzas are then fired in a 900-degree, stone-hearth oven which produces a thin and crispy Roman-style pizza in just three minutes. Los Angeles-based PizzaRev was founded in 2012; the executive team possesses a combination of Fortune 500 operating experience and high-profile restaurant management.
PizzaRev is currently franchising and announced a strategic partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings in 2013. The company currently has 15 corporate restaurants and seven franchise locations in operation, with additional franchises under development across Washington, D.C. and 12 states: CA, CO, MA, MN, MO, ND, NV, NY, OH, SD, TX and UT.
