Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
Instructions
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Blend in the flour.
  3. Cook and stir for 3 minutes.
  4. Off the heat, gradually add the milk while stirring.
  5. Continue to stir over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add salt
