Why it works: We all know how expensive credit card fees can be. Mannie & Bo’s encourages paying with cash — and rewards customers for doing so. Offering it for dine-in gives employees a chance to upsell with drinks or appetizers, and that pads checks. Offering a cash discount is a win-win!

Why it works: This was back-to-school week for many school districts, and Vinnie’s took advantage of what is normally a busy time for parents by offering a kids’ discount with an adult entrée purchase. The link in the Tweet was an adorable Web page with everything customers needed to know to order.

Why it works: This early Monday post gave Facebook fans enough time to consider Pizza Transit for both lunch and dinner. If repeated in the afternoon, the offer would have maximum effect.

Why it works: Gluten free is big business these days. Letting your customers know you have it is great, but letting them know you do it right is imperative. The Studio not only let its customers know it has pizza but also apps and sandwiches. And offering it at no additional upcharge is a perfect way to get folks to order.
