Naples’ largest pizza competition which took place in NY, has concluded & winners have been announced. Below is a recap of the results of the 2016 USA Caputo Cup:

(NEW YORK, NY, January 6, 2016) — Pizza powerhouses will gather in New York City on January 11 and 12, 2016, at the Second Annual USA Caputo Cup Pizza Competition and Third Annual Global Pizza Summit. Pizza-makers from across the United States and abroad, have the opportunity to go for gold, while competing for prizes and the esteemed title of the USA Caputo Cup Champion. At the Pizza Summit, guests will get the inside scoop on what’s sizzling in the pizza world, including educational seminars, cooking demonstrations and other pizza-centric programming led by industry experts.
The Caputo Cup Pizza Competition, Naples, Italy’s largest, most renowned pizza contest, will take place in New York for the second consecutive year, after fourteen years of international success.
This year, contestants wielding pizza peels from as far as Italy and Canada, will take center stage and show off their stuff in two categories: Traditional Neapolitan and New York Style. Crafty creations will be presented to an esteemed panel of judges composed of industry professionals.
Entries will be scored based on taste, visual presentation and originality. The first place winner to capture the crown in each category will be awarded $1,000, admission to the International Pizza Expo Competition in Las Vegas, including hotel accommodations, and one pallet of Caputo pizza flour.

January 12th: Pizza Summit 9:30AM-12:15PM, Caputo Cup 1:30PM-5:00PM
Winners of the Caputo cup will be announced immediately at the conclusion of the second day of the competition.
