Pizza guys in Chicago are so excited about Chicago Cubs’ MLB Playoff berth that they’ve challenged a San Francisco pizza restaurateur to a light-hearted bet that’s gone viral.
Leo Spizzirri, dough specialist and owner of askleopizza.com, has joined forces with fellow Chicago pizza pros, Tony Troiano, owner of J.B. Alberto’s and Gino Rago, owner of Panino’s Pizzzeria, to challenge San Francisco’s Tony Gemignani to a friendly bet on Facebook.
If Chicago loses, Spizzirri says, he will hand deliver Troiano’s Italian beef and Rago’s Deep-dish pizza to Gemignani’s Slice House — and, wait for it —in a dress.
Gemignani accepted the wager on Facebook, razzing them about how he likes his Italian Beef. He countered that if San Francisco loses, Tony will hand deliver his beef and his Deep Dish to Chicago, minus the dress.
See how the bet unfold on Chef Leo Spizzirri’s Facebook page.
