Irish chain releases customer ‘pizza-nality’ study

pepperoni, pizza, peelIrish restaurant chain Milano’s went a bit further than merely a demographic study of its patrons to take a Freudian look at each customer’s’ ‘pizza-nality’.

According to the Irish Mirror, smell and taste experts led by Dr. Alan Hirsh conducted a series of psychiatric and personality tests on 500 adults to decipher the personality traits hidden behind what we get on pizza.

The team looked at five of Milano’s best-selling pizzas, as well as three new additions to its menu. Here are some fun finding from their study (pizza — personality traits):

Pepperoni pizza — extroverted, but can easily get a little bored

Chicken pizza — driven and competitive

Béchamel-based pizza — cautious, good with money, a little cynical

Goat cheese pizza — easy going and sensitive

Spicy pizza — risk-tasking, adrenaline rush seeking

Protein loaded pizza — more sociable and outgoing

Veggie pizza — Flirtatious, charming, self-absorbed, a little bit gullible

Eggs and olives — loving, supportive, trustworthy, avoids the spotlight

Seafood pizza — principled, intelligent, critical

Does Milano’s report reiterate the old saying, “You are what you eat”?
