Italian PR agency Klaus Davi and chef Alessio Mecozzi have backed a research study of the world’s most Instagrammed food. And the winner is pizza, of course.
Researchers combed through 300 million food photos, finding that 17 million used the hashtag #pizza. Fun findings include:
- Pizza outpaced burgers 10-1.
- Second place went to sushi and pasta took 3rd place.
- New York accounted for most pizza pics at 6.1%.
- Naples, Italy, came in at 2.1%.
