Barro’s Pizza and Dr Pepper Award Local Student $10,000 in Tuition

PHOENIX – January 2015 – For the third year in a row, family owned and operated, Barro’s Pizza partnered with Dr Pepper to host the higher education tuition giveaway. This is the second year that one local student received a $10,000 tuition check to put towards their college education. The contest was available to Arizona residents, 18 years and older. This year’s winner was Adam Mendoza from Queen Creek, Arizona.

Mendoza will be using the tuition check to help pay for his Master’s degree that he received in 2003. He currently has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Telecommunications Management degree.

For the past two years the tuition giveaway has been widely received, more than 5,000 entries submitted last year alone. Helping residents reach their higher education and career goals without high loan debt is just one of the many ways local and family owned, Barro’s Pizza, gives back to the valley community.
