Deanna Smith named Burke Corporation marketing manager

NEVADA, Iowa –– Burke Corporation, leader in fully cooked meat products and pizza toppings, has selected Deanna Smith as Marketing Manager. Smith has worked for Burke for 22 years and is currently Customer Services Manager for the company. Smith replaces Elizabeth Hertz, who is retiring.

As marketing manager, Smith will lead development and execution of marketing plans and oversee Burke communications in foodservice and industrial segments.
“Dee’s experience in product management and her relationships with our customers, representative, co-manufacturers and vendors will make her a knowledgeable manager,” said David Weber, President. She will report to Doug Cooprider, vice president sales and marketing—Burke.

Smith attended Marshalltown Community College and graduated magna cum laude from Buena Vista University, Marshalltown, Iowa, in Business Management. She has served on many of Burke’s internal teams, including Product Integrity and Scheduling.
