The 3rd Annual LaRosa’s Pizzeria of the Year Award was recently presented to Melissa and Joel Englehard, Owners of LaRosa’s, Oxford, Ohio, in the Greater Cincinnati area. The award recognizes The Englehards for their Best of Class performance for overall business operations including excellence in food safety, cleanliness and organization, guest satisfaction and profitability. Joel Englehard has been in the restaurant business since 1988 working his way through the ranks at McDonald’s including operations management of five franchise locations in Oxford and Hamilton, Ohio. The 3rd Annual Buddy LaRosa “Reach Out and Make Smiles” Award was recently presented to Gayle Wright, franchise owner of LaRosa’s Queensgate, Cincinnati, Ohio restaurant. LaRosa’s founder Buddy LaRosa credits two practices as key to his success: doing whatever it takes to make each Guest smile, and “taking care of the people you serve” by serving the local community. Recipients of this award are LaRosa’s franchise owners who bring those practices to life in their pizzerias. Wright was recognized for her active involvement and long-term commitment to serving the local community. Ron Rosen and Gary Holland, owners of three LaRosa’s Northern Kentucky franchise locations in Dry Ridge, Independence and Latonia, Kentucky, were recently awarded the 3rd Annual T.D. Hughes LaRosa’s Leadership Award for their dedication to the development of many successful leaders within the LaRosa’s organization. The award was named after LaRosa’s Chairman TD Hughes. In his over 50 years with LaRosa’s, Hughes developed the skills of many leaders, including brothers Mike and Mark LaRosa. Recipients of the TD Hughes Leadership Award are recognized for their commitment to developing outstanding leaders in their own businesses.
