NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Slice Out Hunger is New York City’s Biggest Pizza Party! Difara, Lombardi’s, Keste, John’s Pizzeria, Arturo’s, Lucali, NY Pizza Suprema and dozens more are expected to donate a total of over 1,000 pizzas for this incredible event.

A portion of every dollar raised at Slice Out Hunger will be matched by Tumblr, Scott’s Pizza Tours, Joseph Campagna and Sons, Ferrarelle, GreenBox and Brewla Bars with 100 percent of proceeds benefitting Food Bank For New York City.

This year marks the sixth annual Slice Out Hunger event. Last year’s pizza party raised $20,000 in just over two hours, which funded 100,000 meals for New Yorkers who have trouble affording food.

Event sponsors include Tumblr, Scott’s Pizza Tours, Joseph Campagna and Sons (family-run restaurant distributor), Brewla Bars (brewed ice treats), Boylan Bottling (cane sugar soda), Ferrarelle (Italian water), GreenBox (eco-friendly pizza box) and The Bag Lady (dry goods).
