Rancho Cordova, CA., September 15, 2014 –– On the heels of our most recent “I’m a Pizza Guy” campaign that featured former Sacramento Kings point guard, Isaiah Thomas- Pizza Guys would like to announce the newest member of the Pizza Guys family, Ben McLemore.
Ben McLemore, the 6’5″ shooting guard from the Sacramento Kings, is a high flying sharp shooter. His excitement and professional demeanor on and off the court is what attracted Pizza Guys to the newest member of their family. Mike Morgan, VP of Operations for Pizza Guys, said, “We are excited about taking the ‘I’m a Pizza Guy’ campaign to the next level. Ben is an excellent choice to be the new Pizza Guy. In addition to his athletism on the court, he also an engaging personality. We are looking forward to a long relationship between Pizza Guys and Ben McLemore.”
Ben McLemore loves the enthusiasm of the Sacramento region. When asked about why he is excited about the new “I’m a Pizza Guy” campaign, he said “I am looking forward to this new relationship with Pizza Guys. I look forward to building the Pizza Guys brand and expanding my influence with Sacramento Kings fans.”
The “I’m a Pizza Guy” campaign was a marketing sensation in the Sacramento region and abroad. Last year, being associated with a personality like Isaiah Thomas was great for us. This year’s campaign commercials will focus on Ben’s training process to become a Pizza Guy. The commercials will air during all Sacramento Kings games and will be very prominent on YouTube.
Pizza Guys was started in 1986 by Shahpour Nejad and Reza Kalantari. Their goal was to create a pizza dedicated to quality and value while combining the fresh California flavor. They started franchising Pizza Guys in 1994. The company currently has more than 60 locations throughout California, Nevada and Oregon.
