Los Angeles (February 24, 2014) – PizzaRev announced today the addition of two franchise groups to bring the fast-casual build-your-own pizza concept to Sacramento, CA and Riverside County, CA.
“While we continue to develop our corporate store footprint throughout greater Los Angeles, we’re focused on working with experienced multi-unit restaurant operators to realize the brand’s growth potential in new markets across the country,” said Irv Zuckerman, co-founder and CEO of PizzaRev. “Our new California franchise partners are great additions to the team.”
Harvind and Bob Uppal inked the deal to develop PizzaRev throughout the Sacramento, CA market. The group currently owns and operates 38 restaurants across the San Francisco Bay area, including Burger King, Taco Bell, Wingstop and Corner Bakery.
Sam Samaan and Will Karas, who have 25 yeas of combined restaurant experience, will expand PizzaRev to Western Riverside County, CA. They currently own and operate four Popeyes and three Jersey Mike’s Subs across California’s Inland Empire.
Beyond its 15 corporate locations in greater Los Angeles, PizzaRev currently operates franchise locations across five states. The company is on pace to open eight new restaurants in Q1 2015.
PizzaRev is a “build-your-own” fast-casual pizza concept that has reinvented the way America eats its favorite food. Guests are empowered to fully customize a personal-sized 11″ pizza for one price. Homemade dough options, flavorful sauces, all-natural cheeses, and more than 30+ artisanal toppings, everything is on display at PizzaRev and assembled right before your eyes. The pizzas are then fired in a 900-degree, stone-hearth oven which produces a thin and crispy Roman-style pizza in just three minutes. Los Angeles-based PizzaRev was founded in 2012; the executive team possesses a combination of Fortune 500 operating experience and high-profile restaurant management.
PizzaRev is currently franchising and announced a strategic partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings in 2013. The company currently has 15 corporate restaurants and eight franchise locations in operation, with additional franchises under development across Washington, D.C. and 12 states: CA, CO, MA, MN, MO, ND, NV, NY, OH, SD, TX and UT.
