Thompson Hospitality Announced as New Investors in Pizza Studio


CALABASAS, CA (November 17, 2015) – Pizza Studio, the highest rated fast casual pizza concept in America, announced today the completion of a strategic investment round led by Thompson Hospitality. Thompson provides dining services for corporations and universities in 46 states domestically and internationally. As a part of the investment, Warren Thompson, Founder of Thompson Hospitality will join the company’s Board of Directors.  Thompson also serves on the Boards of Compass Group North America and retail property developer, Federal Realty Investment Trust.

In addition to its equity investment in Pizza Studio, Thompson has entered into an 80-unit development agreement for several Mid-Atlantic states as well as marquis non-traditional locations on university campuses, airports and kiosks east of the Mississippi River.

Since opening its first location in January 2013, Pizza Studio has quickly expanded nationwide and was recently selected by Forbes Magazine as one of Americas Most Promising Companies. Pizza Studio is known for its selection of flavored crusts and chef-driven toppings that include all-natural and nitrate free meats.
