Pizzeria operators dare to take the Holiday Pizza Challenge

Tis the season to dare pizza people to a Holiday Pizza Challenge. Carmine Testa, owner of Carmine’s Pizza Factory in Jersey City, New Jersey, threw out the first Facebook challenge: (Note: You need to be logged in to Facebook to view each challenge.)


World-champion Pizzaiolo and Pizzeria Entrepreneur Tony Gemignani accepted the challenge.


Chris Decker, chef/partner at Metro Pizza in Las Vegas, also accepted.


Derek Sanchez, owner of Mia Marco’s Pizza in Selma, Texas, went big with a layered pizza.


Will Lawrence-Grant, owner of That’s a Some Pizza in Bainbridge Island, Washington, replicated his shop.


Scott Wiener, Owner of Scott’s Pizza Tours in NYC, got creative.


The Pizza Today crew got into the spirit.


John Gutekanst, owner of Avalanche Pizza in Athens, Ohio, responded with a lump of coal.


Andrew Scudera, Jr., owner of The Original Goodfella’s Brick Oven Pizza in Staten Island, New York, created an entire village.
