Donate school supplies, receive a free slice of pizza at Greenville Avenue Pizza Company
What: On Thursday, August 17th, Greenville Avenue Pizza Company is hosting its 5th annual “Slices for Supplies” event, a charitable initiative to benefit a local DISD elementary school. Pizza eaters everywhere are invited to join in by swinging by GAPCo anytime between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. with their arms full of school supplies. Pencils, pens, notebooks, folders and other helpful supplies are all fair game, and monetary donations will also be accepted. To reward such generosity, all participants will receive a FREE slice of cheese pizza with one topping of their choice. No one wants to miss out on free pizza.
All donations and supplies will benefit the Ignacio Zaragoza Elementary School in East Dallas. The 400 students—98% of whom live within a low socioeconomic bracket—often miss out on the supplies they need to enjoy a productive school year. That’s where you come in.
In addition to organizing the event and donating pizza, GAPCo has pledged to match the donations dollar for dollar. So the more you give, the more GAPCo will contribute to this worthy cause. Let’s all work together to support our Dallas public schools and to ensure that its students receive the materials they need to succeed.
When: Thursday, August 17th
5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
