Nation’s Leading Fast Casual Pizza Chain Signs Multi-Year Agreement in Southeast
DALLAS — Dallas-based Pie Five Pizza continues to reach across the country with another multi-unit development agreement. Experienced franchisors Jeff and Christine Steiner plan to open up to 30 locations in North Carolina. The first markets to open will be Metro Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham and Greensboro-Winston Salem.
“The fast casual restaurant segment is growing rapidly and we wanted to bring something exciting and new to consumers in North Carolina,” said Christine Steiner, Pie Five’s North Carolina franchise partner. “Who doesn’t love awesome hand crafted personalized pizza? Between fresh, high-quality ingredients and personal pizzas baked-to-order in less than five minutes, we feel that Pie Five Pizza will be very well received in the Tar Heel State.”
The Steiners’ are no strangers to successful restaurant operations as they own and operate both Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Moe’s Southwest Grill® locations in Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. The duo’s draw to Pie Five is the product quality, craveable taste and variety, which they believe is best-in-class among all of the new players in the growing fast casual pizza segment.
“The senior management team at Pie Five is on top of their game,” said Jeff Steiner, Pie Five’s North Carolina franchise partner. “They’re focused on the right things and their ‘no jerks’ policy among corporate and franchisee partners, may seem funny, but it makes for a much healthier relationship if the franchisees and corporate staff get along and are working towards a common goal … and we really like these guys!”
Pie Five’s newest development deal follows multi-unit deals recently announced in South Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Pie Five has grown from one location to 68 in less than four years.
“Christine and Jeff will be valuable members of the Pie Five family in North Carolina, especially with their extensive operations experience,” said Randy Gier, Chief Eating Officer of Rave Restaurant Group, Inc. “The Charlotte and Raleigh Durham communities are experiencing explosive growth and are a perfect targets for our brand. We feel confident the local community will embrace our personalized hand-crafted pies.”
At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of farm fresh ingredients, artisan sauces and handcrafted crust variety. Pies bake in just 140 seconds in a custom-designed, state-of-the-art oven. By the time the guest arrives at the register, their hot, bubbly, pizza perfection is ready. Additionally, they can add one of Pie Five’s freshly-tossed hand-made salads served in a baked pizza dough bowl or a decadent home-baked brownie or cookie pie to their meal. The rapidly expanding chain is capitalizing on growing consumer demand for personalized, fresh dining options.
