10/09/2014 –– Imagine a fresh, handcrafted pizza built right in front of you with your choice of 40 unique fresh toppings and fire-baked for only 180 seconds. It’s here…and it’s called PizzaFire! Dubbed the “Chipotle of Pizza”, the new “custom pizza –– ready in minutes” concept is here, and PizzaFire is leading the revolution. PizzaFire is the first fast casual, fire-baked pizza restaurant of its kind in Northeast Ohio, and will open at 22 Exchange Street in Akron on October 15.
PizzaFire serves hand crafted pizzas built right in front of the customer with a choice of premium cheeses, hand-cut fresh veggies, artisan meats and sauces made from scratch –– like their authentic Neapolitan pizza sauce, made with hand-crushed tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and fresh basil.
“We only use pear tomatoes from Northern California that are picked and fresh packed within two hours, so they are naturally sweet,” says founder and CEO Sean Brauser. “Then we painstakingly hand crush each one so that the natural flavor of the tomato explodes.”
Brauser, who is also the Founder and CEO of Romeo’s Pizza, says this is the next evolution of pizza. “My passion is pizza, and I’m excited to bring PizzaFire to Akron and Northeast Ohio”. PizzaFire has signed an 8 store development deal with local investors to open restaurants throughout Northeast Ohio. PizzaFire also plans to expand throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
