‘Posh’ Franchise Opportunity Heats Up Pizza Industry

Posh Tomato Launches Franchise Program for Upscale, Customizable Pizza Concept

Brooklyn, N.Y. – Beloved in Brooklyn for its distinctive thin-crust, brick oven pies topped with hand-pulled mozzarella cheese, made-from-scratch tomato sauce and the finest original toppings, Posh Tomato has launched a franchise opportunity aimed at significantly expanding the concept throughout the Northeast U.S.

The custom-built pizza category is expected to lead the restaurant industry in percentage growth and unit expansion over the next three years, according to research firm Technomic. Posh Tomato is looking to break out from the crowded field with its streamlined operational model, architectural and design support and connections to prime real estate locations throughout the country.

“Our goal at Posh Tomato is to become the grown-up version of everyone’s favorite Mom and Pop pizza shop,” said Morris Sarway, co-founder of Posh Tomato. “We are excited to franchise our concept to meet America’s demand for a quick and pleasurable meal with our upscale dining environment, health-conscious menu, fresh ingredients and customizable pies made-to-order in less than five minutes.”

Posh Tomato just debuted outside of New York for the first time, opening a franchised shop in April in West Hartford, Connecticut. An additional restaurant is set to open in New Jersey later this year. The first two franchise locations operate in the Brooklyn communities Midwood and Gravesend. Recognizing the potential in the pizza brand, a New York franchise partner has agreed to open an additional nine Posh Tomato pizzerias within the next three years.

An open concept, Posh Tomato’s natural wood and other raw materials are simple, yet modernize the traditional, vintage pizzeria. To showcase its stunning, yet contemporary design, the company is focused on leveraging prime real estate for its franchisees through a partnership with Triple Five® Worldwide, which develops, owns and operates an extensive portfolio of top retail and entertainment complexes worldwide. The partnership makes it possible for franchisees to build in locations such as Mall of America® in Minneapolis and American Dream™ in Metropolitan New York.

The one-of-a-kind eatery warmly welcomes and guides guests through the assembly line creation of a unique gourmet pie. Each Posh Tomato pizza starts with thinly rolled out raw dough ball topped with made-from-scratch sauces, fresh quality ingredients and a grande cheese blend which is then baked to perfection in an electric brick oven in two and a half minutes. Posh Tomato’s pizza is instantly recognizable for its super thin crust that gives each slice a crisp, crunchy finish making it a lower calorie alternative to traditional pizzas. Unique dessert and salad pizzas also are popular with guests.

The total investment to become a Posh Tomato franchisee ranges from $170,000-$390,000, which includes the initial franchise fee and startup costs. The brand is currently seeking franchise partners focused on multi-unit development. To learn more about franchising opportunities, visit http://poshtomato.com/franchise.
