Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint to open first location in Raleigh-Durham

By Mandy Wolf Detwiler

(ATLANTA, GA) May 2014 – Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint, the original create-your-own fast casual pizza restaurant, will soon open its first location in Raleigh, North Carolina. Business partners Andrew Madans and Talie Madans are developing three new locations in the Triangle region after being introduced to the concept when visiting family in Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint’s hometown, Atlanta, GA.

“The first time I entered an Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint location, and I was greeted with the most enthusiastic ‘Ciao, Maddio’ I knew this was a great concept,” said Andrew Madans, Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint franchisee. “Uncle Maddio’s is an entirely new, fresh take on pizza, and we’re so excited to bring a wholesome, creative, and original concept to Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.”

Bringing their experience and background in hospitality, concessions and event management, business partners Andrew Madans and Talie Madans were impressed with the Uncle Maddio’s emphasis on customer service, a family-friendly atmosphere, while serving fresh, made-to-order, fully-customizable pizzas, paninis and salads.

“At Uncle Maddio’s ‘Served With Love’ goes beyond the delicious, fresh, hand-made pizzas, salads and paninis, it’s also about serving multi-generational families at one table, business professionals at the next and a group of friend at another table,” said Talie Madans, Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint franchisee. “We look forward to owning our own business, and having our slice of the American dream opportunity with the support and foundation provided by Uncle Maddio’s.”

The Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint menu includes a new way to serve pizzas, paninis and salads. Your way. At Uncle Maddio’s patrons build their own entree by selecting from 48 toppings on the create-your-own pizza menu. In addition, the restaurants feature a full menu of Signature Chef-created combinations.  Uncle Maddio’s pizzas are available in three sizes with three crust choices, including traditional, whole-wheat, and gluten-free dough. Six homemade sauces, 27 vegetables and 15 meats complete the wholly individual experience. Uncle Maddio’s offers hormone-free chicken, fresh local vegetables, Daiya vegan cheese and organic greens. All of Uncle Maddio’s pizzas, paninis and salads are made-to-order, and “Served With Love” to awaiting customers at their tables.

“My family’s dietary needs alone consist of vegan, gluten-free and a meat-lover,” said Talie Madans. “At Uncle Maddio’s, we can all dine together, order our preferred pizza of choice, and have a great time in a casual, inviting and comfortable atmosphere.”

Uncle Maddio’s currently operates 19 restaurants in seven states. The Atlanta-based franchise is projecting to open 35 new units in 2014 with 175 additional locations already in development.

“We look forward to sharing our love with customers in the Raleigh-Durham region,” said Chief Pizza Maker and Founder Matt Andrew. “We know Andrew and Talie will serve their customers, the community and local charity partners well.”
