Fruit and Wine Sponge Cake

  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries
  • 1 sponge cake, cut into
  • 8 equal slices
  1. Combine the wine and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the fruit and mix well.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Place sponge cake into a chilled bowl, then spoon fruit and wine mixture over sponge cake.
  5. Serve.
